			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I completed watching the <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZK3O402wf1c" target="_self">video lectures</a> from <a href="http://math.mit.edu/linearalgebra/" target="_self">MIT&#8217;s Introduction to Linear Algebra course</a> by Prof Gilbert Strang.  These are beautiful lectures and a very good introduction to <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linear_algebra" target="_blank">many areas</a> of applications of Mathematics.</p>
<p>There is also a notion among general public that Calculus is very important and it gets glorified attention (2 or 3 must have calculus classes in undergraduate course work) but Linear Algebra gets a little less attention.  If you start to think about Linear Algebra and its clarity in formulating problems of applications to Mathematics, it becomes a very powerful tool to solve problems and gain some intuition about the problem itself.</p>
<p>Here are <a href="http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Mathematics/18-06Spring-2005/Syllabus/index.htm" target="_blank">the golas of the course</a> and here are <a href="http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Mathematics/18-06Spring-2005/VideoLectures/detail/lecture01.htm" target="_blank">the transcripts of lectures</a>. I strongly encourage you to solve <a href="http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Mathematics/18-06Spring-2005/Assignments/index.htm" target="_blank">the assignments</a> and this is where our understanding of the concepts become clear and the side effect of solving these assignments is that we gain some confidence in trying to see a new problem in Linear Algebra way.</p>
